Market Update
The early gains in April were offset by the declines in June. The continued pressure from rising energy costs sparked fears of inflation, leaving the Fed little room to further stimulate a stalled economy. Add to that the troubled real estate market and its continued downward pull on financial stocks and you had little reason for the market to move higher.
