Shale is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Management Information Systems. Shale has nine years of investment industry experience.

Prior to CapTrust, Shale worked for Raymond James Financial Services on a high level management team specifically designed to handle finance-related projects. This team worked with members of the president's office to create analytical tools that were used to assist advisors.

Since joining CapTrust in 2003, he has been an important part of the investment analytics team. Shale oversees all quarterly reporting, research and analysis for CapTrust's retirement plan practice. He is also involved in the Investment Research Committee where he provides due diligence, monitoring and review of mutual funds.
