Roger is a founding Principal of CapTrust and has over twenty-six years experience providing for the investment needs of corporations, retirement plans, foundations and endowments, and individuals. He currently serves as the firm's managing partner.
Roger began his investment career in 1977 with Reynolds Securities. In August of 1978, he joined the Tampa office of Kidder, Peabody & Co. where he began providing consulting services to corporate and non-profit institutions. Along with others in the Southeast region of Kidder, he was instrumental in developing the consulting services of the company. This effort later became known as the PRIME Group, now part of UBS. He served on the PRIME Group's asset allocation committee and on the advisor committee. He was later appointed assistant vice president and then vice president and shareholder. In 1984, Roger was named managing partner of the Tampa office, where he supervised the growth of the local financial consultants and supported the municipal finance effort and municipal bond trading desk. In January of 1991, Roger joined the Tampa office of PaineWebber as both a consultant and manager of the office.
Roger is a graduate from Stetson University in Deland, Florida where he received a degree in Finance. He is a member of CFA Tampa Bay and a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
Roger has served as trustee, as well as the chairman, of the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. He was also the chairman of the Investment Committee of the United Way of Tampa Bay.
In 2009, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay awarded Roger with membership in the prestigious "Jeremiah Milbank Society" in recognition of his on-going commitment to community service and support.
